Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of TaskAlarm ("the add-on," "the service"). By installing or using TaskAlarm, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the add-on.
1What TaskAlarm does
TaskAlarm is a Google Workspace add-on that sends email reminders for your Google Tasks at times you choose. Because it runs on Google's add-on platform, reminders are checked on a schedule and are delivered within approximately an hour of the time you set, rather than to the exact minute.
2Accounts and eligibility
You need a Google account to use TaskAlarm. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for keeping your Google credentials secure.
3Free and Pro plans
- The free plan lets you set reminders for a limited number of active tasks.
- The Pro plan removes that limit for a recurring subscription fee, billed through Stripe.
Subscription pricing is shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing, and Pro features remain active through the end of the current billing period.
4Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to send unwanted messages to others. TaskAlarm sends reminders only to your own email address.
5Service availability
We work to keep TaskAlarm reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and depends on Google's platform and other providers. We do not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered at an exact time or without interruption. TaskAlarm is a reminder aid and should not be relied on as the sole safeguard for time-critical obligations.
6Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskAlarm and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including any missed reminder or task.
7Changes to the service and terms
We may update the add-on and these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8Termination
You may stop using TaskAlarm at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or if required to protect the service or its users.
